First Bank of America did me dirty with my credit cards then turned my cards over to Rubin &Rothman who sent a process server to my house on a Sunday morning to say that i have been served. Went to court to negotiate with them about my 2 cards. They refuse to lower the debt on the card that had the highest limit and only took off $500 off the 2nd card. Started making my payments monthly, they cashed my checks yet twice they sent me a letter stating that they have not received my checks yet qhen i checked my bank account i saw where they cashed my checks the same date they sent me the letters. I wrote them a letter stating that they cashed my checks so therefore the letter they sent me need to be removed from my records. I also sent them copies from the bank to show that they cashed my checks. Their staff or departments need to communicate with each other before sending out threatening letters to clients.

How can you sue somebody and not serve them? I spoke to a woman today, and she was trying to brush me off and kept saying she couldn’t give me legal advice. I didn’t want legal advice. I want to know how you can sue somebody without serving them, or giving them a chance to respond to any letter that you claim us sent.We never received anything except a letter sent to our employer saying they want to garnish our wages.Very unprofessional and still won’t call us back.

My sole income is Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income. Rubin & Rothman started sending me letters about six months after I became delinquent on a credit card from Bank of America. I sent a cease-and-desist letter indicating that my sole income were federal disability benefits, which are exempted from garnishment by federal law. That was not enough for Rubin & Rothman, and they sued me in state court without serving me the papers. Fortunately, I got to know about the lawsuit on time by checking the court’s online database and responded to the court. Rubin & Rothman knew that my case was an automatic dismissal, but they continued with their harassing letters threatening me with future legal action if my financial situation improved even if they could not collect currently. During the state lawsuit, I filed for bankruptcy in federal court, which orders an automatic cease to all collections and lawsuits (better known as automatic stay) while the case is resolved. Rubin & Rothman continued sending me illegal letters in violation of the automatic stay and I threatened with legal action. Two months later, Rubin & Rothman had no option but to petition the state court to dismiss their lawsuit. The federal court discharged my debt with Bank of America was one month later.

Horrible, disgusting company. They don’t even give you a chance to settle your debt before they throw you into collections and make you deal with the courts. They took money out of my fathers bank account, and it was over $700 more than what they were owed. He fell behind on one payment and when he tried to make the payment they told him he had to deal with the court system now.

I actually had a great experience Russell actually was really helpful he guided me through on what needed to be done so I can get things cleared up on my end I'm extremely happy with the customer service he provided me with if you need some help with anything he's the best person to assist you Thank you Russell your amazing 👏 …

This company updated the address in the system to an address that my sister lived and served my sisters neighbor for a bill I had payed Ford. Not only served the wrong person but now a total stranger has my information since the papers wore exposed and not even placed in an envelope. Discussed with your service and the staff you have that are reading from a screen and can't answer any question but just reading what the procedure says.

07/22/2022 I call with a concern about my account, Mr. Russel Malone who answer my call was very nice and pleasant, and very professional in the way he presented himself. I work for a Library and customer service is our priority as well as having the customer be pleased with the outcome of the call, and that is what Mr. Malone provided for me today. It is very niece to see that there are people like him with the courteous and the expectations of customer service everyone deserves.
